Hi all
Just verifying I have all the right parts before starting. I was using amazon reviews as guidance before ordering through them, but I'm not quite certain I have the right stuff. Thank you for helping me sanity check this before I start crimping wires!
What I have:
2006 honda pilot with nav
Replacing all stock stereo/nav with a Kenwood DNX994S and using it's own built in amp.
Maestro RR
HON1 Harness to interface the above (but the RR came with wiring so I may not even need this? unsure) This item hasn't arrived yet so I have been unable to inspect and see if I need the other harness I got to go from the kenwood to the honda. May need one, or both, dunno.
So going by amazon the AR seemed like the proper unit to get. But now that I have gotten on the idatalink site, it looks like that unit may only support a 2006 civic, and not my pilot. If I search only by the honda pilot the site tells me I need to get the maestro SW, at which point it will bring up a proper image of my steering wheel. Althought, the first wheel pictured does have all of the same buttons that my 06 pilot does.
I may have screwed up and need to return and reorder parts, no big deal there. I have plenty of experience installing stereo components, but this is my first attempt at steering wheel controls. So any questions just let me know, and thanks for helping me out!
