So far stock radio - but I'm here because I NEED to fix a problem. My system always has a delay/echo/"concert experience" effect enabled. I can enable/disable Surround from the head unit, but the delay is always there. To clarify, this delay is like you'd find on a guitar effects box or a surround system to give a concert hall feel - and I hate it. If the artist and producer of a studio disk wanted that, they would've added it.
I'm here to ask this question: is this delay generated by the jbl head unit or the jbl amp under the driver's seat?
Basically I need to know if I need to replace the amp...

That feature comes from the amplifier, so if you want it gone, you would need to replace the amplifier.
