CMHCXA0 Drone Compatible

Post by GregSM4 » Tue Nov 20, 2018 2:25 pm

Being new to iDatastart products, when we look up a vehicle search and see a CMHCXA0, we don't see under the optional accessories that it's drone compatible. Will a drone not work with this brain?
I know these are somewhat similar to a DC3 but since it does not show on the optional accessions, its has wondering why? TIA

Yes the HCx will work with ADS remotes and a Drone. Unlike the DC3, the HCX will work with any telematics company. The DC3 is a Compustar product and it's limited to the Drone only.

Great thanks Murph
So if I get this correct, DC3 will only work with a drone, got it
BUT a HCX will work with a DEI smart start (dsm series) as well?
If these do work with DEI DSM above, would there be any special cables or adapters required to make them work with the HCX? Or would they just plug right to a certain port on the HCX and then flash accordingly?

Yes the HCX has a designated port for the smart start. It's the red one listed in the product guide. No extra plugs are needed.

How about Fortin's EVO-Start? Some customers ask as there is no monthly payment. If so, which port to use?

I have no idea what that product is. You might want to ask the maker of that brand.
