2011 Chevy Traverse Pioneer AVH-600EX bluetooth

Post by adamsl04 » Sun Nov 11, 2018 8:40 pm

I have everything staged and wired up to the instructions. Will I need to use the Pioneer bluetooth mic? I noticed nothing plugs into the headunit in the bluetooth mic port so I was just wondering. I am guessing it will be retained through other means.

If you wish to use the OEM microphone for bluetooth, you should be pairing to the OnStar bluetooth system.

Otherwise, if you are wanting to use Pioneer's bluetooth, you must install their microphone.

Ok thank you. Also my chevy traverse had a brown plug for sub connections and backup camera. I used the adapter but I am not getting video from the rearview camera. I am thinking this is because my traverse didnt have the nav system which shows the rearview camera on the radio. It has rearview camera in the mirror. I m guessing the wires for backup cam to brown plug dont have the power from the rearview. Will I need to tap into the mirror connection?

Yes, you are correct. The backup camera wiring only runs up to the mirror, so you will have to splice into the video signal at the mirror and run it down to the new radio.
