Nissan Rogue 2011 Bluetooth Bypass - Missing Wires?

Post by joeh » Mon Nov 05, 2018 2:58 am

I followed the instruction on how to install the Maestro in my Nissan Rogue 2011 (Factory Nav + BT, not Bose).
As part of the process, I need to bypass some wires in the BT plug, in order to get the steering wheel BT controls to work.

I found the BT device in my car and the plug in question, however the pins mentioned in the guide are not wired on this plug.
I checked the other wire colors and they match the car spec, so I'm almost sure this is the right plug.

Did you ever encounter a Rogue with missing BT wires?
Is it going to work?

Thanks,
Joe.

Look at the connector the opposite way as you are now when counting pins. If you are counting by looking at the wire side, count by looking at the pin side or vice versa. This is the most common issue when not seeing the wires in the correct pins. Also be sure to use our diagram numbering when counting pins, not those that may be stamped into the connector itself.

Ok, I was able to get my Maestro to work and indeed, all the buttons on my steering wheel work, including the BT buttons.

There was no need to bypass anything in my car to get it to work.
I did unplug the BT plug from the BT unit in the back. Not sure if needed, but this configuration works.
