2013 F150 handfree and phone buttons mapping

Post by davy4575 » Thu Oct 25, 2018 1:43 am

I have a pioneer avh nex2440 with the maestroRR. was installed by Cartoys. I had the base unit, no nav and the oem got the black screen of death. Sync works, as does the pioneer depending on which Im connected to. However the Pioneer will not work the Handsfree phone button, nor the phone button. Only sync will. Sync will not command the keypad or any other functions of the phone menu on the avh. All other functionality of the wheel controls work.

Is it possible to assign or take over the handsfree button and phone button on the wheel when connected via bluetooth and/or android auto to the avh. What im looking for is to be able to press the voice button on the wheel and have it command the avh, not bring up the sync dialog box. OR, if thats not possible, when connected to sync, have the voice button bring up the phone buttons and keypad on the avh. Android auto works well, but again, I dont get to use the voice command button on the steering wheel, also, its a pita to have to hook up my phone to a cable every time in the car.

You can reflash the MRR and unselect the box to retain the SYNC system. this will default the SWC buttons to operate the pioneers BT system.
