Maestro SW installation

Post by kendu1 » Mon Oct 22, 2018 12:34 pm

I have a Kenwood DMX7705s for my 06 Maxima with a Metra 70-551 Receiver wiring harness. The Maestro SW wiring diagram tells me to connect the module wires to colored wires on the car which i do not have. (Green/red pin 13, whit/red pin 12, black/red pin 14). They might be colored different. I'm trying to find the correct wires.

The steering wheel wires are not on the 7551 harness. They are on the car side of the plug. That is why our diagram gives you the wire colors and pin positions to help you find them in the car's wires.

I didn't see those colors on that one either. I will count the pins on the plug; so when I'm looking at the connector from the pin side the release tab should be facing up?

The colors on various trims of vehicle and audio system in Nissan sometimes have the actual coloring all over the place, but the pin numbers will stay true. They will be in that L shaped configuration in the main connector and the retention clip is on the top
