Kenwood 6705S with rear camera backup guidelines

Post by AmazinglySmooth » Wed Oct 03, 2018 9:23 pm

I don't know if you can help me, but as part of the install I connected the ODB connector to my Maestro and to the Kenwood yielding backup camera guidelines. I can't find any resources on how to calibrate the backup lines so that, when turning, the arc lines match the real trajectory of the vehicle. I can easily setup the left and right lines, but I don't know what depth the horizontal lines should represent. Are these standard depths?

There is no way to calibrate the active guidelines. We simply read the steering angle from the steering angle sensor (which comes from a module at the steering wheel). If the lines are skewed, it could be because the vehicle had the steering wheel removed during service and it wasn't put on exactly right when it was reassembled.
