2011 Mustang maestro firmware conflict

Post by Portico504 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 4:42 am

I have the Kenwood DMX7705s, Mus1 & the maestro RR installed in my 2011 Mustang GT with 1000 watt shaker. The idatalink maestro weblink page was able to flash my RR module with ADS-RR(SR)-FOR01-DS3 (512) (3.4) FOR Maestro RR,
When the flash is complete a message appears that the flash was successful. When I click on my weblink activity after the flash, the result tab says, server maintenance error, please try again later. Hmmm. Now when I check the on the Kenwood screen and access the OEM maestro, I check about maestro and it says the correct flash is installed, however the firmware is not at 3.4 but reads 3.03. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Most steering wheel buttons are working except for sync, ok and answer phone buttons. I want to make sure I have the latest and greatest firmware installed on my maestro RR. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

By default, you will always get the newest version of the firmware when you flash. The engineer has to manually input the version number in the coding, so my guess is that he accidentally didn't change it when he updated the firmware to 3.4. Long story short, no need to worry! It's just a tiny oversight in the firmware coding, but your firmware IS current.
