2013 F150 RR+k150+Kenwood dmx905s

Post by wejturner » Thu Sep 27, 2018 7:57 pm

I searched and found some were having a similar issue but none exactly the same. Everything is hooked up and working on the headunit however I am not getting power to the dash kit (no ac, hazard lights etc.). Does anyone have any solutions I should try first?

Make sure the small, white 3-pin connector is plugged into the dash kit. On the other side of that plug, if you have a blue 2-pin, make sure that is connected too.

I am having a similar issue with the climate controls. I have a 2013 F-150 with the 4.5" screen. I have the RR+K150 and a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX.

I have everything working (radio, steering wheel buttons, traction button, Android Auto, etc.) but the climate controls will not work. The lights come on for a few seconds on power up but none of the functions on the K150 work. The kits (RR, K150, F02) came with two cables for the RR/K150 interface, Gen 1 and Gen 2 but the label on my RR module says 3.0. I tried the Gen 2 cable which didn't work so I tried the Gen 1 which also didn't work. I do have the 3 pin white connector and 2 pin blue connector plugged in.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,
You didn't flash your module correctly. During the flash process, you picked the FO2 instead of the K150. Doing that, you're telling us that you are using someone else's dash kit, so we don't worry about doing the climate for you. To fix this, re-flash, and make sure that the K150 is the selected accessory.

Make sure you're using the red cable that is marked "GEN 2". If you use the other cable, the kit will not work because it cannot communicate with the maestro.
