2018 Honda Hr-v

Post by Charles2532 » Wed Sep 26, 2018 3:01 pm

I see that this firmware supports the 18 HR-V, the install guide specifically calls out the 7" screen, I was wondering if this firmware also supports the 5" screen or if there is another solution either published or in the works.

HO2 should work for that car as well, just flash it as a 7".

Installed a Kenwood DMX9706S headunit into my 2018 HR-V LX (5" Screen)
Flashed firmware RR-HO02-DS and used install instructions for Honda HR-V With 5" screen
Harness version 1,3 and below
as I had a harness version 1.30
All went well other than BT buttons on steering wheel not working.
Any insight on how to get functionality out of the On Hook, Off Hook, and Voice buttons?

What is the serial number of your maestro? I'm having a hard time locating your programming history via your email address.

Did you tie the white/red and orange/red wires together on the t-harness like step 3 of the guide shows? Does the light on the maestro blink when you press phone/voice buttons on the steering wheel?

Yes, the wires are tied together.
Yes, the maestro light is blinking.
I get 2 red flashes on press of on hook
1 red flash on off hook/back
2 red flashes on voice

If we're getting blinks when you push the button, that means we are seeing the signal from the car, and should be sending whatever commands you programmed to it. When you test, are you doing it via bluetooth, or plugged in via carplay/android auto?

Do the press and hold commands you configured for answer/hang up work? They are set to show gauges with a long press of off hook, and display vehicle info with a long press of on hook.
