AUDIO CABLE FROM PORT "D"

Post by ranesko » Mon Sep 24, 2018 8:34 am

Hello. What is the purpose of the audio cable in the following application please? 2013 F-150
radio replacement using Pioneer AVH-2440NEX using the maestro RR and K-150 kit.
Instructions say to plug audio cable from maestro into aux input on Pioneer radios.
Is this so my SYNC AUX (audio input) would work? I do not plan on enabling SYNC (multi comments from others saying there will be conflicts). Of course the K-150 kit has an AUX port. Question. If I don't plug in the Maestro RR audio plug from port D am I losing anything or creating other problems and can I go ahead and plug the K150 Aux port into the pioneer aux input? Thanks

The audio cable takes all the audio from Sync and sends it to the radio. If you don't plug that audio cable in, you will not be able to hear Sync at all.

You could use the aux on the dash kit by plugging it into the radio's AV in. That's the only other audio input that would work and allow you to have both an aux and keep Sync.
