2013 Mustang GT shaker500, bypass oem amp

Post by RMoya3 » Sun Sep 16, 2018 11:02 pm

I have a 2013 Mustang GT, Shaker 500. I have a kenwood ddx795, Datalink Maestro Mustang dash kit and it works great. I love it! I installed an aftermarket sub (fosgate p2d2-12) and amp (r5001xd) using sub out rca's from kenwood. I have infinity coax 6x8 in upper factory door location. My question is this i now want to install an aftermarket amp and bypass the factory amp. Please explain what i will need to do for this to work. Thank you!

To add an amp in this vehicle, you don't have to do anything special as far as the maestro is concerned.

Simply bypass your OEM amplifier, wire your new amp however you choose. The maestro's functioning will not be affected by how you wire up the speakers.

Thank you so much for the quick response and helpful information! I truly enjoy the datalink maestro kit and I plan to purchase one for my wife's 2018 Ford Fusion as soon as it is available.
