2008 Subaru STI

I noticed the Maestro SU1 20-pin interface is pinned differently than the Metra 70-7552 that I am replacing.

Subaru 20 pin connector pin out:

_____2___3___4___5___6___7___8___9___10
1_______________________________________20
_____11__12__13__14__15__16__17__18__19

1 = GRND

2 = violet (+12 with lights on)
3 = Black/White (Dimmer)
4 = yellow/red (+12 accessory)
5 = Brown (steering wheel controls)
6 = red/black (speaker LR)
7 = white/red (speaker LR)
8 = white/black (speaker LF)
9 = blue/orange (speaker LF)
10 = yellow/black (power antenna)

11 = green/red (????)
12 = pink (????)
13 = none
14 = yellow (steering wheel controls)
15 = red/white (speaker RR)
16 = gray/green (speaker RR)
17 = green (speaker RF)
18 = brown/yellow (speaker RF)
19 = none

20 = +12 constant (i.e battery)

Neither Pin #2 or #3 is used in the SU1 harness and per the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX manual, Pin#2 should be connected to the orange/white wire of the pioneer harness. How does the SU1 control head-unit dimming without using Pin #2 or #3? The Metra harness uses Pin #2 for its orange wire which would be connected to the orange/white of the Pioneer harness. The SU1 might need a version 2.0 to correct this issue.

We sense illumination through data. Our harness works as it should (I drive a 2011 WRX and tested it in my car, so I can personally attest to the fact that it works, and no revision is needed).
