2008 Toyota Highlander DRL Not Working

Post by iinfamousaznn » Fri Sep 14, 2018 9:12 pm

My current radio setup is the Pioneer AVH-2440NEX paired with the Maestro RR. I was playing around with the settings and accidently hit off on the Daytime Running Light option and now it won't come back on. I've done a factory reset on the radio, as well as disconnecting the battery terminals for 10-15 min and still no luck. The DRL was working perfectly fine before I hit off. I was advised that reflashing the Maestro RR would work, but I would have to get my mechanic to take out the radio just to get to the Maestro. Any ideas on how to get it working before I try reflashing the RR?

I wouldn't recommend re-flashing it. First, try a reset of the RR. Go to the setup of your Pioneer, to OEM/Vehicle Setup, Maestro Module, Module Master Reset.

I have updated the Maestro RR to 2.80 and it still wasn't working. So the company I ordered the radio from said they are sending me a replacement. Would you know if I can have the USB cable plugged into the RR after everything is plugged in for future updates?

you can, and many people do, the only thing is that you need to disconnect the battery if you plan on flashing the Maestro interface, there can't be any other power going to the RR besides the USB when flashing.
