2012 Dodge Challenger Pioneer MVH-2300NEX

Post by aprachar »

Installed a Pioneer an MVH-2300NEX in my wife's Challenger (SXT Plus, radio with phone button but not Harmon Kardon) I kept U-Connect but only for keeping the factory USB port for her iPod, the phone and everything else is going to to the Pioneer. We noticed that the audio is blowing out on heavy bass tracks, it seems like there's no crossovers being applied to the 3 smaller speakers located in the dash. Also the balance and fade controls on the Pioneer deck aren't doing anything. I'm wondering if I messed up the harness setup (the green/green white/white plugs misconfigured.) Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Does the fader do anything at all?

The audio frequencies aren't controlled by the maestro; those are sent by the deck to the amplifier. If anything, i might recommend playing with the crossover frequencies out of the deck and see if there is any difference in the audio quality.
