Hi Can anyone tell me if the Maestro AR is compatible with this system yet?

We don't have coverage for the Mustang yet.

Hi, I've already purchased the Maestro AR module along with a Kenwood XR600. I have a 2017 mustang gt350 with 9 speaker shaker audio system. Do you have any updates to this thread and is this solution supported yet?

Thank You

This car will likely never be supported with that amplifier because the XR600-6 only has 2 channels of input, and the Mustang's radio sends 4 channels of output. If you use this amp, you would be losing 2 channels of output. We recommend, if you wish to use the AR, going with any other brand of compatible amp, so all the channels your radio sends can get processed and amplified, and overall lend the best end result for you.

Thanks Dara.

I have to say I'm disappointed and probably stuck with the kenwood amp, but I just ordered a bit ap8.9.

Hope this works. Have you seen this configuration and do you have any advice?

Thx,
Jb

Quite a few people have done this setup. My biggest advice: Pay very close attention to all of the update instructions. The audison needs a firmware update from their website in order to work with the AR, so you must do all the updates for everything to work.

One more question on this front. I'm waiting on the audison amp and can't return the kenwood, so I'm wondering about other options to get the kenwood xr600 working.

I've got the ability to alter what is coming out of the factory radio, before the amp and I'm wondering if there's a shot of running the kenwood setup. This is by using an obd plug in and a program called Forscan. I'll include a link to some info below.

I can make the following changes to the signal; remove factory equalization, set output to line level, eliminate piped in engine sound.

Will any of those changes allow me to try to use the AR and Kenwood in universal mode?

Thanks!

Any vehicle can use the kenwood in universal mode, so if you wanted to do that, by all means. We don't recommend it in this car, because you'll lose your dedicated rear channels. Ultimately, it's up to you if you really want to do it.

No. It takes 2-4 channels of input and feeds them to the amp. That is what I've been trying to explain, and why that amplifier is not the best solution for this vehicle.

Thanks for your help. Just trying to figure out the best way to bench test it without ripping the whole car apart.

The way I’m understanding it, I’ll only get the front 2 channels out of the head unit to the amplifier, then I can Eq it however I want.

The issue would be if there is anything coming from the rear channels that is not included in the fronts, correct?

The only thing that I can think they are pushing back there is the fake engine sound. And then the prompts are probably only on the front channels. I am also planning on eliminating the factory Eq directly in the computer. Not sure if this will do anything.

Is this worth a shot? Thanks in advance for your patience here.

Correct. Like I said, it's completely up to you. We don't recommend this setup because the amp and the OEM radio aren't really compatible.

Ok, gonna give it a try/ should we try it in universal mode (with no specific vehicle selected) or try anything different? Like an f150?

Ok, I’ll try again. I can select the vehicle, but then the only amp option is audison... checking again. Thanks again for all of the help here!
