Maestro RR works then quits.

Post by Loren B »

2011 F150 XLT w/ Sync, non-navigation, single zone climate control
Clarion CX305 Head unit
F01 Harness
No phones paired to head unit, not using Sync.
ADS-RR(SR)Ford01-AS-UN1(2.3) flashed
Hardware: RR(256)

I'm having an issue where the Rr works perfect for several minutes, then I lose all buttons on the right side of the steering wheel. When this happens I can see the light flash green on the Rr when buttons are pressed, but they no longer change on the head unit.

So I remove the Rr to bring it inside and connect it to Weblink. Weblink shows all my settings are stored, I flash the Rr, install it back in the truck, it works fine then the problem repeats.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Re-flashing probably won't fix the issue. You should try resetting the hardware.

To reset the module: Unplug all connectors from the maestro. Push and hold the programming button, and keep holding it as you plug in the connectors. Hold the button until the LED flashes red, then let it go. You should see a quick solid green, and the module is reset.

Reflash the RR as a different vehicle i.e Chevrolet Silverado. Then after that goes through plug it back in and cycle power. Flash it back to your vehicle and while plugging in the connectors hold the button on the maestro down until the LED starts flashing red rapidily then let go and power the vehicle on.

I did that. Another thing I noticed today is the sync display while in any OEM screen on the radio doesn't update if I change the channel with the steering wheel control. I am seeing the rr led blink green once and then I loose all OEM features like sync, gauges...
