Thanks for all the feedback, much appreciated. I agree, early adopters. If this thing could do all it claims, wow man. I'd be totally in love with it. It would really do everything I want and need... not knowing how long I have to wait though makes it tough.

I use my iPhone constantly too. I definitely need that working.

Has anyone at idatalink been able to test a '19 Ram with iPhone and see the issues I am seeing?

Hey Chris,

Are you running yours in Maestro Mode (vs Universal) with the 4 harness? What is your base system? I have the stock 6 speaker with 8.4 display (no sub). I've tried to DSR1's now and neither give me sound (well, they play sound for 3-4 seconds when I save a setting with the app, then it goes quiet). Course, if I get sound and have your issues that won't do much for me either...

Just curious what your setup is, which BIOS and Firmware's you are running, etc...

Both Rockford and Maestro have both been very helpful on the support lines, despite the fact that we haven't figured it out yet. That does give me hope that we will get this working. Justin is currently working on this... he's going to get engineers from each group talking to each other.

Any updates on our 2019 Dodge Rams from you guys?

Thanks again,
Warren

To be having this many issues from my experience, there has to be something with the flashes and/or the configuration of the install. Please advise the shop to call us when the vehicle is back in and ready to go.
Could I please get another update on these issue(s)? I did as you said, took my truck to the shop and had them go through the install with your techs. None of my issues are resolved and the system is virtually unusable if you use an iPhone and not having safety features (BLIS + FWC audible alerts) is a fairly significant problem.

I don't want to call the shop and bother them with the issues when the problem isn't the install, but the product. If there's anything you need from me I am more than happy to help; I'm not your average enduser not to mention I used to be an installer before Best Buy axed that portion of their business. I can't lose access to our only household vehicle for 1-2 days to have them spend a couple of hours troubleshooting with you guys. I would rather do that myself if I can.

It was mentioned to me that the 2019s were not changed from 2018. My understanding is that 2019 added noise cancellation features. These signals are routed through the amplifier. Could that be messing us up somehow?

Could we please at least get an acknowledgement from your team on this thread? Let me give you guys an example of how unusable this system is for Apple users:

This weekend I got a text message, I tapped it. Siri read the message to me (which worked fine). Once that was finished and it was supposed to switch back to music, no audio was working and unplugging/replugging did nothing. I kept driving to the city in silence and then I get a phone call (only visually on the screen did I know; there was no ringing sound). I answered it, I could not hear the person. I ended up having to unplug the phone and call them back on speakerphone, I couldn't even use my phone in my truck.

What am I supposed to do? Pull over and unplug the DSR-1 and plug it back in? I literally can not use any of the handsfree features of my phone. And to top it off no one has replied to this thread so I'm not sure what my options even are at this point.

We are here, we see your posts, and we're working on it. I'm sorry for the lack of response, but we're working with our engineering team and we're going to hold off on posting until we have more questions or anything useful, to avoid cluttering up the thread.

Thanks for the update. It does help to see something, even if you don't have new information. At least we know we haven't been forgotten. I sure hope to see some progress soon :)

Thanks!

Update: Visual indicator for vehicle warning while backing up does not work or show up in the cluster. (When you're in reverse and backing up and the truck detects a vehicle coming from either the left or right there's something in the cluster that shows up and and there's an audible alert beeping which tells you that a vehicle is coming from a certain direction)

I had my music down really low (because of the fact that attenuation doesn't work so when I park I try to turn my music down so I can hear the sensors) and I was backing out of my driveway and a car was coming; I did hear some beeping and looked at the cluster and there was nothing there when the vehicle was both coming on the passenger side and while it drove past the driver side while in reverse.

To be 100% transparent, I think I only had this trigger a couple times at the most before I had replaced my factory stereo as I did it so quickly so I'm not sure how reliable it is without the DSR1.

Visual indicator is reliable and works well for me (my DSR1 is not hooked up and I'm on the factory system). I'd think you'd at least see the indicators. You can try cleaning the sensors on the bumpers. Maybe there is a fine film of dust or something on them...

As I mentioned I heard the audible beep because my music was down, so I know it detected it. Also my truck is cleaned almost every other day so never really an issue with that.
