2011 Cruze, RR w/ non-Maestro Pioneer, factory clock

Post by KaeZoo » Fri Jul 26, 2019 12:27 pm

Another location installed a Pioneer AVH-211EX into a 2011 Cruze with a mono display. The customer is complaining that the factory clock on the display isn't keeping the correct time; ie, she parks it and when she starts it again the clock's time is off. Given that the head unit isn't Maestro compatible, is there anything we can do wiring-wise to solve this?

If we switch to a Maestro-compatible head unit, is that likely to fix the problem?

Yes. With Non-idatalink radios, we don't have a way to send any data out from the radio, like the clock.
