Trying to flash newest firmware for Honda crosstour

Post by hobbesjam »

Hoping someone can help me out here. I just installed the Honda HO2 t harness in a 2011 CROSSTOUR along with a Kenwood DMX7705s. The firmware search tool shows that the newer HO2-DS is available for my car but when I go through the steps to flash it keeps using the older firmware.
Thanks for any help you can e

If you look on the label of your maestro RR, does it say it's a RR-256 or a RR-512?

The RR-256 is the older, smaller storage capacity; because of that, this newer firmware is much bigger and doesn't fit on that module. That is why it isn't giving the option to flash the HO2 firmware. Ultimately, you would need a newer RR-512 to make the solution work.

Ok. Well that's really dissapointing. Wish that was mentioned somewhere on the product page for the HO2 t-harness. Would have saved me time and money

Unfortunately earlier versions of all our firmwares were smaller than the newer ones, and the older RR units themselves were half memory capacity the new ones are. That RR is over 3 years old, and none of the firmwares back then were size some of the latest ones are today.
