2018 Challenger 8.4 Alpine 6-speaker system questions

Post by WhataboutBob »

Greetings,
I've been searching the web for info to no avail, so here I am for help.
Here's what I have.
2018 Challenger 8.4 Alpine 6-speaker system

Here's what I will be installing.
Kenwood XR600-6DSP
iDatalink Maestro AR Amplifier Replacement Interface
iDatalink Maestro AR-CH2 Installation Harness
and the Install Guide: ADS-AR-CHR02B-KEN-IG-EN
On page 5 of the Install Guide it has this note:
(2) NOTE:
IF THE RESISTOR PACK IS NOT INCLUDED, USE FOUR 500 OHM RESISTORS,
PUT EACH RESISTOR ACROSS THE WIRES OF THE WHITE, GRAY, GREEN, AND BLUE TO PURPLE 2 PIN CONNECTORS.

Is the resistor pack available? And if not, I need clarification on how to hook up the individual 500 ohm resistors.

Is there a minimum wattage rating for the resistors?

I assume that the connectors need to be connected and the resistors need to be hooked up between the hot & ground.
Example between GRAY & GRAY/BLACK.

Is my assumption correct?

Thanks

Normally the resistor pack is packaged in the amp replacement harness. The only exception would be if you got an old harness. I have some spares here that I could send you; I just need you to private message me with your name and shipping address.

Otherwise, you would attach them like shown in the attachment. See below.

Thank you! Received it last night. Now I just need to get things of off my Honey-do list to move up this install

Thanks again,
Bob
