If I use the RCA port to connect backup camera, do I need to hook up the trigger wire (red short pigtails) to somewhere on TO1 (red cable, purple/white, or another one)?
Or it is not necessary, as the reverse signal will be transmitted to HU by TO1?
Thanks advance for any suggestions/comments!

No. These are intended to power the OEM camera. If you need to power your camera, i suggest using the red wire on the TO1. Do NOT hook it up to the purple/white, or you will damage the maestro.

Simply hook the purple/white from the TO1 to the purple/white on the radio, and the screen will trigger when necessary.
