Autoswitching to bluetooth.

Post by clint_col »

I recently installed a Pioneer 601ex in my 2007 dakoata with Alpine premium sound system. Everything is working fine except when I have my Galaxy7 connected via Bluetooth. If I have it on any source other than Bluetooth if my phone makes any sounds the radio automatically switches to the Bluetooth source. So if I am listening to the FM radio and I get a text message the stereo with switch to Bluetooth all by itself. Any ideas on what is causing this?

One thing to check first, do you have anything in the W/R port of the radio? If so please remove it.

see if a friend has a different phone and have them pair to the radio to see if it does it also. It may be a setting in the radio (check the Bluetooth settings). Also it doesn't hurt to look on the Pioneer website to see if your radio has an update.
