reversed backup guidelines

Post by doc182 »

I have a 2008 Hummer H2 with a Kenwood DNX575S and Maestro ads-mrr ... Installed with Crutchfield harnesses. Everything works, but the backup camera guidelines are reversed when I turn the wheel. I called tech support, they told me it was my steering wheel angle sensor. I had it calibrated, but it's still backwards. There's no way to reverse it in the camera settings.
Any help?

What is the serial number of your maestro? I am having trouble finding any flashing history under your email address.

I just logged in to get the s/n... But it says you are having server maintenance issues. I'll try again later I guess. But the flash was there, I just couldn't open it up.

Just get it through your radio.

Go to: Setup > AV > OEM Setup > Maestro Features > Maestro Module > About Maestro

I have sent a test firmware to you to try. It just flips the guidelines 180 degrees. To get it, you'll need to re-flash the maestro. Hit 'flash your module', then select 'flash by user firmware'. You will see a firmware called "ADS-RR(SR)-GM05-DS SW angle reversed v1 (512) 3.2". Choose this firmware, proceed with the flash, and give it a try.

Thanks,

Alright, I'll tear it all back out and try it this weekend.

Thank you Dara,
That fixed it. I'm not sure why mine would be backwards from others, but...whatever.

So-- in the future when there are firmware updates, do I need to have you send me a modified version each time?

Thanks again
Kelly

As far as updates go, if you don't have problems or want to change any settings, there is no need to update. If it ain't broke...

Otherwise, if you need to re-flash, call us and we can re-activate this test firmware for you to flash again.
