iDatalink Maestro RR video in motion

Post by protomorphx »

Is there a way to make the Maestro allow video in motion?

I recently installed a Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX and found that with the Maestro used as a wiring harness and both the on screen bypass in stand by and using a micro bypass that the Maestro still would not allow the radio to show video once the vehicle started moving.

I had to remove the maestro and install a Metra harness instead.
We leave it up to the customer to not watch the screen when driving, so this is definitely inconvenient and should be a setting that we can turn on or off in programming.

What vehicle was this in? We technically shouldn't be doing parking brake through data so this is a bit odd as we provide the analog output. Thanks

This happened on a 2010 Cadillac DTS.
Module info:
Serial: 8ED6D0CB60
Firmware: ADS-RR(SR)-GM05-DS (512) (3.2)
Hardware: RR (512)

Tried disconnected the OBD plug as well and only when I installed the different harness with no data interface did it allow video.

Video worked fine when parked or under 5mph.

Seemed like it was the VSS and not parking brake data since it was only after going +5mph
