speaker

Post by captrcurtis »

I have a 2013 Silverado 1500 non navigation radio and I have a Pioneer MVH-4200NEX and the Maestro RR and GM5+. Do I have to use the cheesy little speaker that came with the Maestro? Wont' the stock speakers pick up the chimes?

You do need to install the speaker. I recommend putting it under the driver's side dash so it's hidden away, but still audible.

OK Thank you, I was reading some posts and it looks like there is a wire that needs to be hooked up so the system will mute, IS that correct?

The mute wire is only needed for installations that use a non idatalink compatible radio. You should not need the mute wire.
