2012 2500 w/o Bose, 1330nex, sxv300v1

Post by Texas Fiddler »

I am new and apologize if I'm beating a dead horse.

I just installed an AVH-1330nex in my truck with the RR and GM5+. I used the factory XM, but I had also bought the SXV300v1 xm tuner. I've found from the forums that the turn signals do not work with the factory XM tuner. Do they work with the sxv300v1 tuner?

I was hesitant to change the tuner if I didn't need to. I saw some posts, though, that indicate there are other added benefits to changing so I am going to go ahead and switch. I was just curious if the vehicle chimes will work with the aftermarket tuner.

Thanks!

if you are using the aftermarket sat turner then yes the turn signal chime will be heard. Only with the OEM sat tuner the turn signal chimes are not heard when listening to the satellite radio.

Update:

Thank you! I was able to get the tuner installed and everything set up. The turn signals work just as advertised with the SXV300v1 instead of the factor XM receiver. I also get additional channels now.

Thanks for the response. This forum has been a great resource for my project.
