2018 Jeep JKU AT Wire Harness Question

Post by Troutbum23 » Fri Mar 22, 2019 6:50 pm

Disregard my previous post regarding the harness. Somehow another harness got mixed in with the one I needed for this install. Everything is ready to go except now I'm having an issue with flashing the module. I had this same issue months ago when I was trying to install a new head unit and gave up out of frustration. I'm about to give up again as I cannot get it to flash. I've called the local Best Buy and they are unwilling to help since they are not the ones doing the install.
This is seriously becoming a major pain in my ass! All I want to do is replace my head unit and continue to run into these issues

You would need the RR and the RR-CH1 harness

I have both, but the RR-CH1 came with 2 different harnesses which is where the confusion comes into play.

If you are having issues flashing the unit, we would need more specifics in where you are getting hung up in the process. Weblink flashing issues are easiest to resolve if you call in to tech support and we can work thru them in real time. If this is not an option for you, we will need more details about where you are getting hung up in the process. You can also view the video FAQs on the Maestro support page to solve most issues that arise.

I was able to flash the module, but now none of the steering wheel controls work. I do not have a factory amp and I followed the instructions with the green and white clip connectors being reversed.

What does the LED on the RR do when the ignition is on and the radio is powered up?

I won't be able to rip the dash apart until next weekend as I'm going out of town. I will post results at that time.

The RR blinks twice rapidly, 1 second pause, blinks twice rapidly, 1 second pause......

That means the RR doesn't have communication with the radio. It is generally caused by one of two things. Either the physical connection on the data port (black 4 pin next to the USB on the RR) is disconnected or connected to the wrong port, or the wrong radio model or serial number was used when the RR was flashed online.

Appears that when I was jamming all the wires into the dash one of the connectors came loose. Works as it should now. Thanks for the guidance.....
