pink speed sensor wire missing on pioneer

Post by kid wicked »

2010 f150 harley edition.
the pioneer (no navigation) i'm wiring up doesn't have the pink wire in the harness. i thought the off-red wire was it since the red on the maestro fo1 harness is a thicker gauge and a different shade but i guess i was wrong. is the pink speed sensor wire only used with a navigation head unit?

If the radio doesn't have a VSS wire, then it doesn't need that input. Simply tape or cap off our VSS wire.

can the maestro be programed to turn off the passenger seat belt warning? my truck thinks my bulldog is my wife.

In this vehicle, we don't have the ability to change vehicle settings through the radio. You might look on a forum and see if there is a way to disable it through a procedure or programmer. (Ex: In my Subaru, there was a backdoor procedure that disabled it by cycling the ignition a certain way, and then buckling/unbuckling the seatbelt a certain number of times).

ok, all set up but i have issues.
1) sirius isn't working. just grey. can't click on it. checked my wires. the audio was disconnected from the maestro. reconnected. no difference.
2) no back up camera. when i put in in reverse the screen goes black with the coloured guide lines at the top left of the screen
3) phone mic that came with the truck doesn't seem to be working.
4) the airbag 2 (passenger?) light is on ***edit now both driver and 2 lights are on
5) the usb originally connected to sync (i assume) is powered but not reading the head unit. i guess for carplay the usb must be connected directly to the head unit?
6) should bluetooth just be connected to sync or the head unit or both? seems to work better with both.
7) when the volume is off there's a slight buzzing coming through the speakers. everything that isn't connected is wrapped with black tape.

***8) today i went out and the remote wouldn't set the alarm or lock the doors. when i got home it worked. that was weird

there's also a couple of ford plugs that i had nowhere to plug into on the maestro harness.

With this many things to go over, it might be best for you to give us a call on our tech support line when you've got the maestro accessible so we can do some troubleshooting in real-time. That will be much faster in getting you up and running.

ok great. i might have figured out one part.
it looks like there is a yellow tipped cord that might be going from the factory sirius unit to the ome hu. is that antenna related? .
what about a rear camera adapter? does anyone make one?
