I used to have a Pioneer radio in my truck with the Maestro RR. I removed it yesterday and installed a Kenwood DMX7705S. I removed the Pioneer specific connector and added the Kenwood to the wires on the harness. The unit flashes red which I know means it can't communicate with the radio. I noticed that there's a small connector on the back of the radio that is labeled Idatalink. Unfortunately I don't have a cable for that connector. Is this an additional cable I need to purchase?
Thanks,
Phil

Have you reflashed the MRR for the new radio you installed? This is required for the MRR to properly communicate with the Kenwood.

Yes, I did re-flash.
Do I need the connector shown as #5 on page 94 in this document?

Thanks,

Phil,
Yes, you do need the data cable that plugs between #5 of the radio and the Maestro RR. That is how we communicate with the radio. Without that cable, the RR would be giving you 2x red flashes, like you're experiencing now.

Thanks for your help. Would you happen to know the part number I need to use to order that cable?
Thanks again!

Re: Problem getting Sync working 2011 F350
Phil,
There isn't a part number, as it is not commercially sold by itself. We do sell replacement cables for $15 shipped in the US. We have sent an invoice via PayPal to your email. Once that is paid, your replacement cable can ship out.
