2008 Hyundai Sante Fe

Post by rigby38 »

I have installed the Maestro sw. when you push the steering wheel controls, the light on the maestro lights up, but nothing happens. I have checked the wiring and it is as it should be.

The stereo unit is a Kenwood KDc x702.

Is there a trick to get this to work or is this not compatabile. According to the idata it should be and they have that unit to pick from to flash the maestro.

If we're blinking, that means we see your button presses and are sending commands to the radio, which is a really good sign.

Make sure that our blue plug is connected to the blue port of the SW. Also, make sure you have our blue/yellow hooked to the blue/yellow on the Kenwood, and that the 3.5mm plug is not connected to anything.

Past that, there may be a setting in the radio that enables/disables steering wheel controls. They used to call it 'remote sensor'. Put the radio in standby and go through the setting to see if you have a setting like that. If all else fails, reset the radio.
