2007 Toyota Rav4 wiring help

Post by jandy33 » Sun Jan 06, 2019 7:20 pm

I have question regarding how to complete this wiring with JVC KW-V840BT radio.

1. The purple/red with goes to the vehicle white but there is no white connector wire
2. The pink/red wire goes to the vehicle red which is the power
3. The black/white wire goes to the Black, is this the black ground wire, too
4. The red wire goes to the Accessory, would this be the red wire

the Purple/Red wire coming from the Maestro should connect to a White wire located in a 20 way connector (in pin 7) that was originally plugged into the factory radio.

The Pink/Red wire coming from the Maestro should connect to a Red wire located in a 20 way connector (in pin 8) that was originally plugged into the factory radio.

The Black/White wire coming from the Maestro should connect to a Black wire located in a 20 way connector (in pin 6) that was originally plugged into the factory radio.

The solid Red wire of the Maestro will tie in with the Red wire coming from your new radio.
The solid Black wire of the Maestro will tie in with the Black wire coming from your new radio.

Hope this makes it easier to understand.

Thanks for the update. So for the original factory wires, I should scrap back the plastic and attach it that way?

Yes. See this photo for an explanation of how to do a military splice.
