No device detected

I just bought the ads-usb and the blade-al with my compustar remote starter 7900as and when I try and flash the firmware it tells me no device found and nothing I do is fixing the problem?

You probably plugged in the ADS-USB before installing the weblink software. If that is the case, windows would have installed the wrong driver. Go to the windows flash, open in, all programs, automotive data solutions folder, then run the FTDI drivers two times. This will force the correct driver to install.
